Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging 1:1 and small-group virtual tutoring sessions in core academic subjects
- Develop customized lesson plans aligned with student learning objectives and curriculum standards
- Utilize digital platforms (Zoom, interactive whiteboards, LMS) for interactive instruction
- Monitor student progress through regular assessments and provide detailed feedback
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student achievements and goals
- Collaborate with academic advisors to refine teaching strategies and support student growth
- Participate in ongoing professional development and peer mentoring sessions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant subject field (Master's preferred)
- 2+ years of verified tutoring or teaching experience (virtual preferred)
- Expertise in at least one core academic subject (Math, Science, ELA, etc.)
- Proven ability to adapt teaching methods to diverse learning styles
- Strong technical proficiency with video conferencing and digital learning tools
- Excellent communication skills and emotional intelligence
- State teaching certification or equivalent credential (if applicable)
