Responsibilities
- Instruct and mentor students via virtual platforms (Zoom, Google Meet, or proprietary software) in real-time, ensuring an engaging and interactive learning environment.
- Design, develop, and customize lesson plans tailored to the specific learning styles and academic goals of each student.
- Monitor student progress through quizzes, assignments, and regular performance reviews to ensure mastery of the material.
- Provide constructive, actionable feedback to students and parents to foster continuous improvement.
- Prepare students for standardized tests (SAT, ACT, AP) and coursework challenges with specialized tutoring strategies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records and attendance logs within the learning management system.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, the specific subject matter (Math, Science, English, etc.), or a related field.
- Current Washington State teaching certification (preferred) or equivalent professional experience in a teaching or tutoring capacity.
- Proven track record of successfully teaching or mentoring students in the relevant subject area.
- Strong proficiency in technology, including video conferencing tools, Google Workspace, and learning management systems.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex topics simply.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a dedicated, quiet workspace.
