Responsibilities
- Conduct one-on-one or small-group virtual tutoring sessions via our secure video conferencing platform.
- Design and deliver customized lesson plans that align with state educational standards and individual student learning goals.
- Monitor student progress through regular assessments and provide detailed feedback to students and parents.
- Utilize educational technology tools, including interactive whiteboards and digital resources, to enhance the learning experience.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and session notes within the Learning Management System (LMS).
- Foster a positive, encouraging, and inclusive learning environment that motivates students to excel.
- Communicate effectively with the education team to address student challenges and adjust instructional strategies as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, the subject you intend to tutor (e.g., Math, English, Science), or a related field (preferred).
- Previous experience in tutoring, teaching, or mentoring students in a formal or informal setting.
- Proficient in using computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a dedicated, quiet workspace free from distractions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain concepts clearly.
- Ability to build rapport with students of diverse backgrounds and age groups.
- Candidate must be authorized to work in the United States.
