Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging 1:1 and small group virtual tutoring sessions in core academic subjects
- Develop customized lesson plans aligned with state curriculum standards and student learning goals
- Monitor student progress through regular assessments and provide detailed progress reports
- Utilize digital tools for interactive whiteboard sessions, screen sharing, and document collaboration
- Maintain open communication with parents/guardians regarding student achievements and areas for improvement
- Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance tutoring methodologies
- Collaborate with curriculum specialists to refine teaching approaches
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant subject field (Master's preferred)
- State teaching certification or equivalent tutoring credentials
- Minimum 2 years of virtual or in-person tutoring experience
- Proficiency with online tutoring platforms (Zoom, Google Classroom, etc.)
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to adapt to diverse learning styles
- Strong subject matter expertise in at least two core academic areas
- Background check and child safety clearance required
- Reliable high-speed internet and quiet home workspace
