Responsibilities
- Deliver 1-on-1 and small-group virtual tutoring sessions in core subjects (Math, Science, English, History)
- Develop customized lesson plans aligned with state curriculum standards and student learning objectives
- Utilize interactive digital tools (whiteboards, simulations, multimedia resources) to enhance engagement
- Track student progress through our proprietary learning management system and provide detailed feedback
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student milestones and improvement areas
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with pedagogical best practices
- Collaborate with academic advisors to address specific learning challenges
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant subject field (Master's preferred)
- State teaching certification or equivalent tutoring credentials
- Minimum 2 years of K-12 teaching or tutoring experience
- Proficiency in virtual classroom platforms (Zoom, Google Classroom, proprietary LMS)
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to simplify complex concepts
- Demonstrated ability to adapt teaching methods to diverse learning styles
- Strong time management and organizational skills for remote work
- Background check and child safety certification required
