Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging 1-on-1 and small group virtual tutoring sessions in core subjects (Math, Science, English, History)
- Assess student learning needs and create customized lesson plans
- Track student progress and provide detailed progress reports
- Communicate effectively with parents and students regarding academic goals
- Utilize digital platforms (Zoom, Google Classroom, our proprietary software) for seamless instruction
- Collaborate with academic coordinators to refine tutoring strategies
- Stay updated on curriculum standards and educational best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field (or current enrollment)
- 1+ years of tutoring or teaching experience (K-12 focus)
- Proficiency in core academic subjects with expertise in at least 2 subjects
- Strong communication skills and ability to connect with students
- Reliable high-speed internet and quiet home office setup
- Experience with online learning platforms (Zoom, Google Meet, etc.)
- State teaching certification preferred but not required
- Passion for education and commitment to student success
