Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging 1-on-1 and small-group virtual instruction in core subjects (Math, Science, ELA)
- Develop customized lesson plans aligned with student learning objectives and curriculum standards
- Utilize interactive digital tools (virtual whiteboards, simulations) to enhance remote learning experiences
- Provide detailed progress reports and constructive feedback to students and parents
- Collaborate with academic advisors to address learning gaps and implement intervention strategies
- Maintain accurate student records and session documentation in our learning management system
- Participate in ongoing training on pedagogical best practices for virtual environments
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant subject field (Master's preferred)
- State teaching certification or equivalent tutoring credentials
- 2+ years of experience in online/virtual instruction or remote tutoring
- Proficiency with video conferencing platforms (Zoom, Google Meet) and educational software
- Strong communication skills with ability to build rapport via digital channels
- Availability for evening and weekend sessions (Milwaukee time zone)
- Proven track record of improving student outcomes and engagement
