Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging 1-on-1 and small-group virtual sessions across core subjects (Math, Science, English, etc.)
- Develop customized lesson plans aligned with Virginia state standards and student needs
- Track student progress through our digital platform and provide detailed feedback
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student achievements
- Utilize interactive tools (whiteboards, simulations) to enhance virtual learning experiences
- Participate in monthly professional development workshops
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant subject field (Master's preferred)
- VA state teaching certification or equivalent tutoring experience
- Proven expertise in K-12 curriculum and standardized test prep
- Exceptional communication skills and tech proficiency (Zoom, Google Classroom)
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to diverse learning styles
- Background check clearance and reliable internet connection
- Previous online tutoring experience (1+ years)
