Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging 1:1 and small-group virtual tutoring sessions in core subjects (Math, Science, English, History)
- Develop customized lesson plans aligned with Virginia Beach curriculum standards
- Monitor student progress and provide detailed feedback to parents/educators
- Utilize our digital platform for scheduling, resources, and progress tracking
- Prepare students for standardized tests (SOL, SAT, ACT) and academic competitions
- Maintain accurate session records and communicate student milestones
- Collaborate with curriculum specialists to refine teaching methodologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant subject field (Master's preferred)
- VA teaching certification or equivalent academic credentials
- 2+ years tutoring/teaching experience with K-12 students
- Proficiency in virtual teaching tools (Zoom, Google Classroom, interactive whiteboards)
- Strong subject matter expertise in at least two core academic areas
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build rapport remotely
- Reliable high-speed internet and quiet home workspace
- Background check clearance required
