Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging 1:1 and small-group virtual tutoring sessions in core subjects
- Develop customized learning plans aligned with DC curriculum standards
- Monitor student progress and provide detailed performance feedback
- Utilize digital platforms (Zoom, Google Classroom, proprietary software) for instruction
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student development
- Collaborate with curriculum specialists to refine teaching methodologies
- Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field (Master's preferred)
- DC teaching certification or equivalent tutoring credentials
- Minimum 2 years experience with virtual instruction
- Expertise in at least one core subject (Math, Science, ELA, History)
- Strong technological proficiency with digital teaching tools
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies for diverse learning needs
- Background check and child safety clearance required
