Responsibilities
- Listen to audio recordings and transcribe them into text files with a focus on 99% accuracy and speed.
- Proofread and edit all transcripts for grammar, punctuation, spelling, and syntax errors.
- Adhere to specific client style guides and formatting requirements consistently.
- Meet daily and weekly production quotas and deadlines without fail.
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding patient and client information.
- Utilize transcription software and hardware efficiently to optimize workflow.
- Communicate effectively with team leads regarding technical issues or complex terminology.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or prior transcription experience preferred.
- Proven typing speed of at least 60 WPM.
- Experience with medical terminology is a plus but not mandatory for general transcription roles.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a dedicated, quiet workspace.
- Strong command of the English language and grammar rules.
- Self-motivated individual capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
