The Role
As a Remote Transcriptionist, you will be responsible for converting audio recordings into clear, formatted text documents. You will ensure that every detail is captured accurately while adhering to strict deadlines and industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Listen to audio recordings and transcribe them into written text with a focus on 99% accuracy and speed.
- Proofread and edit transcripts to correct grammar, punctuation, and spelling errors.
- Adhere to specific formatting guidelines and style sheets provided by clients.
- Research and verify complex medical, legal, or business terminology as needed.
- Ensure the complete confidentiality and security of sensitive client data.
- Meet daily production quotas and submit work on time.
- Communicate proactively with team leads regarding audio quality issues or complex terms.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of professional transcription experience (Medical or Legal transcription is preferred).
- Typing speed of 60+ WPM with a proven track record of accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and transcription software (e.g., Express Scribe).
- Strong command of the English language, including advanced grammar and punctuation rules.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a dedicated home office workspace.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Experience with HIPAA compliance and data privacy regulations is a plus.
