Responsibilities
- Listen to audio files and transcribe speech into written text with high accuracy and speed.
- Proofread and edit transcripts to ensure proper grammar, punctuation, and formatting.
- Adhere to specific style guides and client requirements for each project.
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding sensitive medical and legal information.
- Use digital transcription software and hardware efficiently.
- Meet daily productivity and quality assurance targets.
- Communicate effectively with the QA team for clarification on ambiguous audio.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Proven typing speed of 60+ WPM (Words Per Minute).
- Excellent listening skills and command of the English language.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a dedicated home office setup.
- Previous transcription experience (medical or legal) is a plus.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
