Responsibilities
- Listen to audio recordings and transcribe content with high accuracy and speed.
- Proofread and edit transcribed documents for grammar, punctuation, and spelling errors.
- Adhere to specific client formatting guidelines and strict confidentiality standards.
- Manage time effectively to meet daily and weekly production quotas.
- Utilize industry-standard transcription software and tools efficiently.
- Research ambiguous terms and medical/legal terminology using reference materials.
- Maintain a consistent workflow and communicate technical issues promptly.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a transcriptionist or a strong willingness to learn medical/legal transcription.
- Exceptional typing skills (minimum 60-80 WPM).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and transcription software (e.g., Express Scribe, Dragon).
- Strong command of the English language, including grammar and vocabulary.
- High-speed, reliable internet connection and a dedicated, quiet workspace.
- Attention to detail and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
