Responsibilities
- Convert audio recordings into clear, accurate text documents using transcription software.
- Proofread and edit transcripts to ensure high standards of grammar, punctuation, and flow.
- Adhere to all company policies, quality assurance guidelines, and HIPAA regulations.
- Meet daily and weekly production quotas within strict deadlines.
- Communicate effectively with the quality assurance team regarding unclear audio or specific terminology.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in transcription (medical or general) with a minimum of 2 years preferred.
- Exceptional typing speed of at least 65 WPM.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and transcription-specific software (e.g., Express Scribe, F5).
- Strong command of the English language and attention to detail.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a quiet home office space.
