Responsibilities
- Accurately transcribe audio recordings across diverse industries (medical, legal, general)
- Adhere to strict confidentiality protocols and HIPAA compliance standards
- Meet daily/weekly productivity targets while maintaining 98%+ accuracy
- Format transcripts according to client specifications (style guides, templates)
- Perform quality self-reviews and edit transcripts for grammar/spelling
- Utilize transcription software efficiently (ExpressScribe, etc.)
- Communicate promptly with project managers for clarification needs
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years professional transcription experience
- Proven typing speed of 75+ WPM with 98%+ accuracy
- Familiarity with medical/legal terminology (specialty preferred)
- Exceptional command of English grammar and punctuation
- High-speed internet connection and quiet home office setup
- Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize multiple projects
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and transcription software
