Responsibilities
- Listen to audio recordings and transcribe them into text documents with 99% accuracy.
- Proofread and edit transcripts for grammar, punctuation, and spelling errors.
- Adhere to strict confidentiality guidelines and HIPAA compliance standards.
- Utilize transcription software, foot pedals, and medical dictionaries efficiently.
- Meet daily production quotas and quality assurance requirements.
- Research and correctly interpret ambiguous medical or legal terminology.
- Communicate effectively with the quality assurance team regarding unclear audio.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate degree in Medical Transcription preferred).
- Proven experience in medical or legal transcription.
- Typing speed of 60+ WPM.
- Comprehensive knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and pharmacology.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and specialized transcription software.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a dedicated workspace.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
