Responsibilities
- Convert audio recordings into accurate text documents while maintaining strict adherence to formatting guidelines.
- Proofread and edit transcripts to ensure zero errors in grammar, punctuation, and medical terminology.
- Meet daily production quotas and quality assurance requirements.
- Identify and resolve unclear audio segments or unclear dictation with the appropriate medical staff.
- Stay updated on medical advancements and transcription software updates.
- Maintain strict patient confidentiality and data security standards.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; certification in Medical Transcription is preferred.
- Proficient knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology.
- Typing speed of 65+ WPM with a high degree of accuracy (95%+).
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a dedicated workspace.
- Ability to pass a basic computer proficiency and medical knowledge test.
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
