Responsibilities
- Manage Complex Schedules: Coordinate and schedule appointments for medical professionals and administrative staff using industry-standard software.
- Patient Communication: Confirm appointments via phone and email, proactively addressing any conflicts or changes.
- Data Management: Maintain accurate and confidential records in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Administrative Support: Assist with insurance verification, referral processing, and pre-authorization tasks.
- Customer Service: Serve as the first point of contact for incoming calls, ensuring a professional and welcoming experience.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with clinical teams to optimize workflow and resource allocation.
- Reporting: Generate daily reports regarding appointment volume and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree or relevant healthcare experience preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical scheduling, administrative coordination, or customer service.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth).
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a focus on patient-centric language.
- Organization: Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
