The Role: As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll architect scalable systems, mentor junior developers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional user experiences. This 100% remote position requires 2-3 days/month in our San Francisco office for team syncs.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement cloud-native microservices using AWS/GCP
- Mentor 2-3 junior engineers through code reviews and pair programming
- Lead technical initiatives and contribute to architecture decisions
- Optimize application performance and security protocols
- Collaborate with Product teams to translate requirements into technical specs
- Automate CI/CD pipelines using Terraform and Jenkins
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in backend development (Python/Java/Go)
- Expertise in distributed systems and RESTful APIs
- Strong knowledge of containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Proven track record with CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- Experience mentoring engineering teams
