Responsibilities
- Transcribe complex medical dictations with 99.5% accuracy across diverse specialties
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance protocols and maintain strict confidentiality standards
- Utilize advanced speech recognition software and edit AI-generated transcripts
- Collaborate with physicians to resolve ambiguous terminology and ensure precision
- Manage high-volume workloads while meeting tight turnaround deadlines
- Maintain and update client-specific formatting preferences and style guides
- Train junior transcriptionists on proprietary systems and best practices
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of acute care transcription experience
- Certified Healthcare Documentation Specialist (CHDS) or equivalent required
- Mastery of medical terminology across 15+ specialties
- Expertise in EHR systems (Epic/Cerner preferred)
- Exceptional typing speed (120+ WPM) with zero-error tolerance
