Responsibilities
- Convert audio recordings into clear, accurate, and grammatically correct written documents.
- Review and edit transcripts to ensure adherence to medical terminology and client-specific style guides.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and privacy standards in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Meet daily and weekly production quotas while maintaining high accuracy rates.
- Utilize various Electronic Health Record (EHR) software and transcription tools efficiently.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare providers to clarify ambiguous audio segments.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor's degree in Medical Transcription or Healthcare preferred.
- Minimum typing speed of 60 words per minute with high accuracy (98%+).
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and pharmacology.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and medical transcription software (e.g., Express Scribe).
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote or hybrid setting.
- Previous experience in medical transcription is highly desirable.
