Responsibilities
- Convert audio recordings to verbatim written documents with 98%+ accuracy
- Adhere to industry-specific formatting guidelines (medical/legal/general)
- Meet daily/weekly transcription quotas while maintaining quality standards
- Utilize specialized transcription software and foot pedal controls
- Research and verify specialized terminology and proper names
- Proofread and edit transcripts for grammar, punctuation, and clarity
- Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive client information
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year professional transcription experience
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and transcription software (e.g., Express Scribe)
- Exceptional grammar, spelling, and punctuation skills
- Ability to type 75+ WPM with high accuracy
- Strong attention to detail and research capabilities
- Reliable high-speed internet and quiet home office setup
- Flexible schedule availability including some evenings/weekends
