Responsibilities
- Listen to audio recordings and transcribe them into accurate text documents using specialized software.
- Proofread and edit transcripts to ensure zero errors in grammar, punctuation, spelling, and medical terminology.
- Adhere to strict client guidelines, formatting requirements, and confidentiality agreements at all times.
- Maintain a high level of productivity to meet daily and weekly production quotas.
- Utilize speech recognition tools and other assistive technologies effectively to enhance efficiency.
- Communicate promptly with team leads regarding quality issues, technical difficulties, or ambiguous audio.
- Ensure the security and privacy of all sensitive patient and client data.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in medical or legal transcription is strongly preferred.
- Fast and accurate typing speed (minimum 60 WPM).
- Strong command of the English language, including advanced grammar and spelling.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and transcription-specific software (e.g., Dragon NaturallySpeaking).
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and meet tight deadlines.
