Responsibilities
- Listen to audio recordings of physician dictations and transcribe them into written medical reports accurately.
- Proofread and edit transcripts for grammar, punctuation, spelling, and medical terminology errors before submission.
- Ensure all transcribed documents adhere to strict client formatting guidelines and HIPAA compliance standards.
- Manage and upload completed files securely through our proprietary software platform.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare providers for clarification on complex medical terms or ambiguous dictation.
- Meet daily and weekly productivity and accuracy quotas consistently.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree or certificate in Medical Transcription preferred.
- Minimum typing speed of 60 WPM with high accuracy (99%+).
- Strong command of the English language, including grammar and sentence structure.
- Basic computer literacy and proficiency with Windows/Mac operating systems.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening as required by healthcare regulations.
- Previous experience in medical transcription is a plus but not mandatory for qualified candidates.
