Responsibilities
- Develop and execute 5-year technology roadmaps aligned with market evolution and company vision
- Analyze emerging technologies (quantum, AI, neurotech) for commercial viability and integration potential
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints with engineering, product, and design teams
- Establish strategic partnerships with academic institutions and tech pioneers
- Present technology forecasts and recommendations to executive stakeholders and investors
- Drive patent strategy and intellectual property protection for emerging innovations
- Mentor junior strategists and foster a culture of technological curiosity
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic technology planning, innovation management, or futurism
- Proven track record developing multi-year technology roadmaps for Fortune 500 companies
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (PhD preferred)
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging technology domains (quantum computing, AI, synthetic biology)
- Exceptional data analysis and scenario planning capabilities with AI-driven forecasting tools
- Experience securing multi-million dollar R&D budgets and managing innovation pipelines
- Published thought leadership in technology strategy or futurism (IEEE, HBR, etc.)
