Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM dashboards and analyze security alerts during night shift hours (11 PM - 7 AM EST)
- Investigate potential security incidents using forensic tools and threat intelligence
- Document incident reports and recommend mitigation strategies
- Collaborate with global security teams during cross-continental handovers
- Perform vulnerability scans and patch management during low-traffic periods
- Develop automated response scripts for recurring threat patterns
- Contribute to after-action reviews and security policy improvements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2+ years of hands-on security operations experience
- Active CISSP, Security+, or CEH certification preferred
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and EDR solutions
- Strong knowledge of network protocols and attack vectors
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision during night shift
- Excellent written communication skills for incident reporting
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (Mandiant, Recorded Future)
