Responsibilities
- Accurately transcribe medical dictations including patient histories, consultations, and discharge summaries
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance standards for all patient data handling
- Maintain 98%+ accuracy rate with timely turnaround (24-48 hours)
- Utilize digital transcription software and specialized medical terminology databases
- Flag unclear audio segments for quality review
- Format documents according to client specifications
- Participate in monthly calibration sessions to ensure consistency
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years professional medical transcription experience
- Credential: CMT (Certified Medical Transcriptionist) or RHDS (Registered Healthcare Documentation Specialist)
- Proficiency in digital transcription platforms (e.g., Express Scribe, MModal)
- Exceptional typing speed (minimum 85 WPM)
