Responsibilities
- Transcribe medical dictation with 99%+ accuracy across diverse specialties
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance protocols for patient data confidentiality
- Format documents according to client specifications (e.g., SOAP notes, operative reports)
- Meet daily productivity targets while maintaining quality standards
- Utilize digital tools (Express Scribe, EHR systems) for efficient workflow
- Collaborate with editors to resolve unclear dictations
- Continuously improve knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years medical transcription experience
- Credential: CMT (Certified Medical Transcriptionist) preferred
- Typing speed: 85+ WPM with 98% accuracy
- Proficiency in medical terminology (anatomy, pharmacology, diagnostics)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- High-speed internet connection and quiet home office
- Excellent command of English grammar and punctuation
