Responsibilities
- Manage complex appointment schedules for medical providers, ensuring optimal utilization of time slots.
- Coordinate patient intake, pre-authorization, and insurance verification processes.
- Act as the primary point of contact for patients via phone, email, and in-person inquiries.
- Handle patient cancellations and rescheduling with professionalism and accuracy.
- Maintain and update electronic health records (EHR) and scheduling databases.
- Collaborate with front desk staff and clinical teams to streamline daily operations.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a medical scheduling or administrative role.
- Proficiency in using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems (e.g., Epic, Athenahealth).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on customer service.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a high-volume environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or medical office certification preferred.
