Responsibilities
- Advanced Calendar Management: Oversee and optimize complex schedules for physicians and specialists to minimize gaps and maximize operational efficiency.
- Patient Coordination: Schedule patient appointments, diagnostic procedures, and follow-ups while verifying insurance eligibility and collecting necessary demographic information.
- Conflict Resolution: Handle urgent scheduling requests and resolve conflicts professionally to ensure high patient satisfaction and provider availability.
- EMR Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in our Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems, ensuring strict adherence to data privacy regulations.
- Communication Hub: Act as the primary point of contact for patients via phone and email, providing clear instructions and updates regarding appointments.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in the scheduling workflow and collaborate with management to implement solutions.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in healthcare scheduling, medical administration, or a related field.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of EMR systems (Epic or Cerner preferred).
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong focus on customer service and conflict resolution.
- Organization: Demonstrated ability to multitask, prioritize work effectively, and manage high volumes of requests in a fast-paced setting.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Healthcare Administration or related field is a plus.
