Responsibilities
- Convert audio recordings from legal, medical, and corporate sectors into verbatim transcripts with 99%+ accuracy
- Utilize advanced transcription software and foot pedals for efficient document processing
- Adhere to strict confidentiality protocols and HIPAA compliance standards
- Proofread transcripts for grammar, punctuation, and contextual accuracy
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously with strict deadline adherence
- Collaborate with editors and clients to resolve discrepancies and clarify content
- Maintain organized digital filing systems for all documentation
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years professional transcription experience in legal/medical fields
- Minimum 85 words-per-minute typing speed with 98% accuracy
- Proficiency in ExpressScribe, Dragon NaturallySpeaking, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Comprehensive knowledge of medical/legal terminology and industry formatting standards
- Ability to handle diverse accents and complex technical terminology
