Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate patient appointments using advanced scheduling software (Epic, Athenahealth, etc.).
- Gather and verify patient demographic and insurance information to ensure accurate billing and coverage.
- Communicate effectively with patients via phone, email, and in-person to confirm appointments and address inquiries.
- Collaborate with clinical staff to optimize provider schedules and manage urgent requests.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date records in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Handle check-in and check-out processes efficiently to streamline clinic flow.
- Resolve scheduling conflicts and ensure patient satisfaction during interactions.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Healthcare Administration preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in medical scheduling or a related administrative role.
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills with a focus on customer service.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Valid Arizona driver’s license and reliable transportation (often required for on-site duties).
