Responsibilities
- Listen to audio recordings of medical consultations and convert them into written text with high accuracy.
- Format reports according to established client guidelines and medical standards.
- Proofread and edit transcripts for accuracy, grammar, spelling, and flow.
- Manage daily workflow and meet strict daily deadlines without compromising quality.
- Maintain strict patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA compliance standards.
- Utilize speech recognition software effectively to enhance productivity and turnaround times.
- Communicate effectively with team leads regarding complex medical terms or technical issues.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of professional transcription experience (Medical/General preferred).
- High typing speed with a minimum of 65-70 WPM.
- Proficiency in medical terminology, anatomy, and pharmacology.
- Excellent command of the English language, including grammar and punctuation.
- Reliable computer setup with high-speed internet access.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Experience with EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner) is a plus.
