Responsibilities
- Source and attract qualified technical candidates across San Diego's tech ecosystem using LinkedIn, GitHub, and niche job boards
- Conduct virtual technical screenings and behavioral assessments for software engineering roles
- Develop strategic recruitment partnerships with hiring managers at San Diego's leading tech firms
- Manage full-cycle recruitment process from initial outreach to offer negotiation and onboarding
- Implement diversity hiring initiatives to build inclusive technical teams
- Leverage ATS systems (Greenhouse, Lever) to track metrics and optimize recruitment funnels
- Stay current with San Diego's tech market trends and competitive compensation packages
Qualifications
- 3+ years technical recruitment experience with proven success in hiring software engineers
- Expertise in sourcing passive candidates through technical communities and professional networks
- Proficiency with ATS platforms and HRIS systems (Workday, BambooHR preferred)
- Strong understanding of technical roles (frontend, backend, DevOps, QA) and required skills
- Exceptional virtual communication skills with ability to conduct engaging remote interviews
- Self-motivated professional with ability to thrive in independent remote work environment
- BA/BS in Human Resources, Business, or related technical field
- San Diego market knowledge or willingness to develop deep local expertise
