Responsibilities
- <ul><li>Convert audio files into accurate, grammatically correct, and well-formatted text documents.</li><li>Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA and legal compliance standards.</li><li>Proofread and edit transcripts for clarity, syntax, and factual accuracy before submission.</li><li>Adhere to specific formatting guidelines and style sheets provided by the client or department.</li><li>Manage time effectively to meet daily and weekly production quotas without sacrificing quality.</li><li>Communicate promptly with supervisors regarding technical issues or clarification on audio quality.</li></ul>
Qualifications
- <ul><li>High school diploma or GED equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.</li><li>Proven experience in transcription (medical, legal, or general) with a minimum typing speed of 65 WPM.</li><li>Excellent command of the English language, including grammar, spelling, and punctuation.</li><li>Familiarity with medical and legal terminology is a plus but not always required.</li><li>Reliable high-speed internet connection and a dedicated workspace.</li><li>Self-motivated, independent worker with the ability to meet deadlines under pressure.</li></ul>
