Responsibilities
- Listen to audio recordings and transcribe them into clear, accurate, and grammatically correct text.
- Proofread and edit transcribed documents to ensure high-quality output and adherence to style guidelines.
- Adhere to strict confidentiality standards and HIPAA compliance regulations.
- Use specialized transcription software and tools to manage audio files efficiently.
- Meet daily and weekly productivity and accuracy targets.
- Communicate effectively with team leads regarding difficult audio files or urgent deadlines.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree or certification in Medical Transcription preferred.
- Proven experience in medical or legal transcription with a minimum typing speed of 60 WPM.
- Strong command of the English language, including grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy, and pharmacology.
- Proficiency in using speech recognition software and transcription tools (e.g., Dragon NaturallySpeaking).
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
