Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems during night shift hours
- Investigate and respond to security incidents with minimal latency
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network systems
- Generate detailed incident reports and security documentation
- Collaborate with global security teams for coordinated threat mitigation
- Implement firewall configurations and access control policies
- Stay current with evolving cyber threats and defense methodologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in cybersecurity operations or threat analysis
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and IDS/IPS systems
- Strong understanding of network protocols and cloud architectures
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST, SANS)
- Ability to work independently during night shift hours (11 PM - 7 AM ET)
- Excellent written communication for incident reporting
