Responsibilities
- Deliver 1-on-1 and small group virtual sessions in core subjects (Math, Science, English, History)
- Develop customized learning plans aligned with Chicago Public Schools curriculum standards
- Track student progress and provide detailed feedback to parents and academic advisors
- Utilize digital tools (interactive whiteboards, screen sharing) for engaging lessons
- Prepare materials and assessments tailored to individual learning styles
- Maintain accurate session records and progress reports in our tutoring portal
- Participate in ongoing professional development workshops
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education or subject area (Master's preferred)
- 1+ years teaching/tutoring experience with Chicago-area students
- Illinois teaching certification or equivalent credentials
- Proficiency in virtual tutoring platforms (Zoom, Google Classroom)
- Excellent communication skills and cultural responsiveness to diverse learners
- Strong subject matter expertise in at least two core subjects
