Responsibilities
- Accurately transcribe audio recordings across multiple industries (legal, medical, corporate)
- Adhere to strict confidentiality protocols and HIPAA compliance when handling sensitive data
- Utilize provided transcription software and equipment for optimal efficiency
- Format documents according to client specifications and style guides
- Perform quality checks to ensure 99%+ accuracy in final transcripts
- Meet daily/weekly production targets while maintaining quality standards
- Communicate effectively with project managers for clarification needs
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year professional transcription experience
- Exceptional listening skills and typing speed (65+ WPM)
- Proficiency in English grammar, punctuation, and medical/legal terminology
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Reliable high-speed internet connection
- Strong attention to detail and error detection abilities
- Previous experience with ExpressScribe or similar transcription software preferred
- Must pass background check and confidentiality agreement
