Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain complex appointment schedules for patients and medical staff using our internal scheduling software.
- Coordinate with patients to confirm appointments, reschedule cancellations, and send reminder notifications.
- Communicate effectively with clinical teams to ensure accurate resource allocation and minimize wait times.
- Handle incoming calls and inquiries regarding appointments, insurance verification, and general clinic information.
- Update patient records and demographic information in the EMR system to ensure data accuracy.
- Assist in the preparation of daily reports and workflow summaries for clinic management.
- Resolve scheduling conflicts and urgent requests with a focus on patient satisfaction.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Healthcare Administration or related field is preferred.
- Previous experience in medical scheduling, front desk coordination, or healthcare administration.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) and scheduling platforms (e.g., Epic, Cerner, AthenaHealth).
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a busy environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional demeanor and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology is a plus.
