Responsibilities
- Transcribe Medical Records: Listen to audio recordings and convert them into accurate, formatted medical reports using specialized software.
- Quality Assurance: Proofread and edit transcripts to ensure zero grammatical errors, correct spelling, and proper punctuation.
- Terminology Accuracy: Ensure the correct usage of medical, legal, and scientific terminology throughout all documents.
- Confidentiality: Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality standards at all times.
- Deadline Management: Meet daily and weekly production quotas while maintaining high accuracy standards.
- Issue Resolution: Flag unclear dictation or technical issues to the quality management team for clarification.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree in Medical Transcription or related field is preferred.
- Typing Skills: Minimum typing speed of 60 WPM with a high degree of accuracy.
- Language Skills: Excellent command of the English language, including grammar, spelling, and sentence structure.
- Experience: Previous transcription experience is a plus; however, we offer training for qualified candidates.
- Technical Proficiency: Comfortable using computer hardware, foot pedals, and transcription software.
- Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail and the ability to spot minute errors in text.
