Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Management: Oversee the design, deployment, and maintenance of cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure) ensuring high availability and security.
- Night Operations: Monitor system health, performance, and logs during off-peak hours to proactively resolve issues before they impact global operations.
- CI/CD Implementation: Enhance and automate our deployment pipelines using Jenkins and GitLab CI to reduce deployment times and increase stability.
- Incident Response: Lead the technical response to critical outages, conducting post-mortem analyses to implement long-term solutions and prevent recurrence.
- Scripting & Automation: Develop Python and Bash scripts to streamline manual processes and improve operational efficiency.
- Collaboration: Partner with development and security teams to integrate compliance requirements into the development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Systems Engineering.
- Shift Availability: Must be willing and able to work the Night Shift (e.g., 8:00 PM - 5:00 AM Pacific Time).
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Linux/Unix administration and scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
- Cloud Knowledge: Deep understanding of AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda) or Azure.
- Tools: Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration tools (Helm, Istio).
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document complex technical processes clearly.
