Responsibilities
- Listen to audio recordings and transcribe them into written text using specialized software.
- Proofread and edit transcriptions for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and factual accuracy.
- Adhere to strict medical or legal terminology and formatting guidelines.
- Manage file uploads and ensure secure handling of sensitive client data.
- Meet daily and weekly production quotas and quality standards.
- Communicate effectively with the quality assurance team to resolve discrepancies.
- Stay updated on industry trends and software updates to improve efficiency.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Medical Transcription or related field preferred.
- Minimum typing speed of 45-60 WPM with high accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and online transcription platforms.
- Strong command of the English language, including grammar and spelling.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a dedicated home workspace.
- Previous experience in medical or legal transcription is a plus.
